The Pleasant Mountain Race Team is the operating arm of the Shawnee Peak Alpine Educational Foundation Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit alpine education program that provides training and racing opportunities with professional coaches for alpine skiers of all levels from ages 6-20.(Note we run separately from both Pleasant Mt. Ski Area and the Pleasant Mt. Race Dept.)

We offer quality alpine ski racing/training opportunities in a traditional family mountain setting. As a USSS- affiliated program, we provide training and competition opportunities at both the middle school and high school levels as well as MARA/USSS age-appropriate events. Our 2025-26  40-day training calendar operates from December 13th through mid-late March, as conditions allow. Our goal is to bring a rigorous but balanced approach to alpine ski racing in a manner that fosters love of sport, alpine skiing skill development, and personal growth.

2025-2026 High School Race Training Program - Winter 2025

Tailored for the high school athlete who is not racing in MARA/US Skiing events, PMRT is offering an abbreviated seasonal program on Fridays (evening) & Saturdays (day). Gate training on Friday evenings 5:30-8:00 and a full day of Saturday training 8:15-2:30 with the PMRT U14-U19 athlete groups. Open to any athlete in alpine high school racing that is seeking to improve their skills and up their race game with our professional coaches and dedicated athletes.
