Time of Day Finish

Overview: 1 person who writes the time in the race that each racer crosses the finish line. The intent of this position is to create a record that could be used to sort times if there is an issue with the timing system and racers times are not properly assigned. Time is kept on a stopwatch, provided by the race department. This is a good position for non-skiers and skiers since it is at the bottom of the course. This can also be done without experience in ski racing.

Race Day Schedule:

  • Arrive at the Race Building at 8:00 am.
  • Coordinate with the Race Director.
  • Arrive at the bottom of the race course at 9:00 am.
  • Remain at the bottom of the course through the end of Run 1, writing the time each racer crosses the finish.
  • After Run 1, there is 30-45 min to go to the lodge for lunch.
  • Arrive back at the bottom of the race course 30 minutes before the start of run 2. This time varies based on the size of the race.
